Artist Opening Reception Vincent Musto

Vincent James Musto was born to Italian American parents in Pittston, Pennsylvania, and was the youngest of three children. After high school, Vince attended the University of Scranton and later Wilkes University, earning a master’s in Secondary Education. Vince began his teaching career in 1969 and retired in 2006 while teaching part-time at Penn State University. During the summer of 1988, Vince was granted a fellowship through Dickenson University and had the opportunity to travel throughout Spain and Italy – it was during this venture that he discovered his vast love of the arts and the wines and foods of Italy. Jackson Pollock inspires Vince’s art, but his greatest muse is his wife, who continuously finds wall space in their home to display all her favorite pieces. Since his retirement, Vince has enjoyed experimenting with different techniques and mediums.
