We regret to inform you that due to the forecasted inclement weather, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow’s 2nd Friday Art Walk. While we were looking forward to the event, the safety and comfort of our participants and guests remain our top priority.

We sure know how to celebrate the holidays in Downtown Pittston! We kicked off the day with our Shop with A Cop Holiday program and rolled right into day 2 of our La Festa Di Natale Holiday Market! Froggy 101 hosted an EPIC Toy Truck parade benefiting Toys for Tots and Santa arrived just in time to watch our Christmas ambassador, Lexi, light the tree! Guests enjoyed performances by Broadway on the Boulevard, A Chance to Dance and a local holiday caroling choir while The Greater Pittston Women’s Network served hot cocoa and soft pretzels! Thanks to everyone who attended our events this weekend and we hope you have an extra joyful holiday season! 🎄🎅🏼❄️✨#PittstonProud

What a magical day in the City of Pittston! Close to 300 children from Luzerne County were able to have a memorable holiday experience while shopping for their loved ones with the help of our local law enforcement. Each child received a free hot lunch, dental supplies from Benco Dental, holiday pajamas, reusable shopping tote from Astound Broadband, $100 to shop, and a gift of their own from Santa himself. THANK YOU to all officers, troopers and cadets for volunteering their time and helping each child shop. THANK YOU to our sponsors and donors without whom this event would not be possible. THANK YOU to our committee members who work tirelessly to fundraise, organize, and execute this event. THANK YOU to the Greater Pittston Santa squad for their partnership. This week Main Street Manager and Deputy City Administrator, Mary Kroptavich, graduated from the @leadershipnortheast Amplify Class of 2024!

This program aims to help women in mid- and senior-level positions gain leadership skills, build professional relationships, develop problem-solving abilities in regard to women-specific workplace issues, and balance leadership with personal responsibilities. The class worked through a series of eight leadership development sessions over the course of 2024.
