Pittston’s Shop with a Cop holiday program is so much more than a shopping trip — it’s about changing lives and building trust between children in need and the law enforcement officers who serve and protect our community. This heartwarming event gives elementary-school-aged children facing difficult circumstances the chance to create lasting memories while shopping alongside local police officers for holiday gifts for their loved ones.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, every child receives funds to pick out meaningful gifts — but we go beyond the basics. Each child will also receive a special gift from their personal wish list, ensuring that they experience the magic and wonder of the holiday season firsthand.

Sponsorship dollars make the entire day unforgettable, covering hot cocoa, snacks, holiday pajamas, reusable shopping totes, and a free lunch for the children and their caregivers. To make the day even brighter, participants get to enjoy a cozy, festive moment making s’mores with our Firefighters and EMS Department — a tradition that fills the day with laughter and warmth.

Every aspect of this event is made possible by volunteers from local law enforcement, firefighters, and EMS departments, who generously give their time to support these children and their families.
